Argyle Sign Jenkins

Plymouth Argyle have signed Watford midfielder Ross Jenkins on a one-month loan.

The 21-year old will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Morecambe.

Pilgrims' boss Carl Fletcher has been short of midfield options following a long-term injury to summer signing Jamie Lowry and a recent injury to Argyle legend Paul Wotton and moved quickly to bolster the ranks.

Jenkins has made 81 appearances for Watford in the Championship since progressing through the youth academy at Vicarage Road but has fallen out of favour in recent years, particularly since the arrival of new manager Gianfranco Zola.

Jenkins will wear the number 30 shirt and be available up to and including Argyle's game against Rotherham on October 27th.

Welcome aboard the good ship Mayflower, Ross.
