Miles & Miles & Miles To Follow The Greens

Plymouth Argyle are slowly but surely ploughing through the mammoth 10,908 miles needed to visit all 23 league grounds this season.

Last Saturday's trip to Morecambe, Argyle's second-longest road trip this season, knocked 660 miles off the clock with another 9,283 miles left to complete on the motorways of the UK.

The Pilgrims' have played four away league games so far this season with trips to Dagenham & Redbridge (505 miles), Oxford (392) and the bus stop jaunt to Torquay (just 68) followed by the bum-numbing 660 mile round trip to Morecambe.

The visit to York City in April will be the longest away excursion at 676 miles, one of six trips of over 600 miles to navigate through this season.

As you would expect the Green Army turned up in numbers for the four away leagues games this season, with 545 clicking the turnstiles at Dagenham, 770 at Oxford, a huge crowd of 1,514 at Torquay and congratulations to the 358 die-hards who went to Morecambe. Fantastic!

Argyle's average away support this season stands at 796; above last season's average of 749 which was the third highest in League Two.

The month of October will see the Pilgrims' burn more rubber with another four away games scheduled including a long trip to Rotherham to look forward to!
