Miles & Miles & Miles To Follow The Greens

Plymouth Argyle are slowly and surely ploughing through the mammoth 10,908 miles needed to visit all 23 league grounds this season.

The Greens have so far been on the road to 14 League Two clubs with a long journey to Southend United coming up on Saturday. That round trip will be the seventh longest of the season, clocking up 588 miles.

Those nice chaps at the Football League decided to give Argyle the longest excursion of the season on April Fools' Day when John Sheridan's team will have to travel 676 miles there and back to play York City, just one of six trips of over 600 miles to navigate through this season.

The away trip to Morecambe in September was Argyle's second-longest road trip this season, showing 660 miles on the sat nav.

The 14 away games played so far this season have knocked 6,221 miles off the clock, with another 4,687 miles still to complete.

As you would expect the Green Army turned up in numbers for the 14 away leagues games this season, with 545 clicking the turnstiles at Dagenham, 770 at Oxford, a huge 1,514 members of the Green Army at Torquay, congratulations to the 358 die-hards who went to Morecambe, 494 midweek at Wycombe, 1,053 at Barnet, 670 for the short journey to Cheltenham, 633 fans travelling to Yorkshire for the game against Rotherham, 467 for the long trip to Fleetwood, 195 travelled to Bradford, 1,226 at Exeter, 272 up to Accrington, 864 at Bristol Rovers and 334 at Port Vale.

The total number of travelling Argyle fans this season stands at 9,395 with an average away support of 671.
