Wottsy Stays!

Wottsy Stays!

Plymouth Argyle Legend Paul Wotton has signed a one-year contract extension.

The 35-year old will also take up a role with the Youth Academy as a Senior Professional Development Coach.

This fantastic news will please all Argyle fans and is another vital piece of the jigsaw completed by manager John Sheridan as he builds a squad capable of success in League Two next season.

Wotton returned to Home Park in January 2012 and was instrumental in helping the club avoid relegation during that season; the Plymothian also played a crucial role in the Greens staying up at the end of last season.

Wotton has made 475 appearances for Argyle and is third in the Pilgrims' all-time appearance list, just 16 games behind second-place Sammy Black.
Speaking to the club official website Wottsy said: 'I'm thrilled.

'I'm really enjoying my football; I'm still enjoying my training; and I'm really happy.
'At the same time, I have got a role in the Academy which I am looking forward to.
'I would like to think that, after 600 games, I have something to pass on to the next generation of Argyle players.

'To sum it all up, it's a dream job.'

I whole heartedly agree with my Vital colleague, Ian's comments about the Yeovil postponement.

Thank You Yeovil

There have been some unjustified comments on social media and in the local press since Argyle's game at Yeovil Town was postponed yesterday.
