Argyle Name New Coaching Staff

The John Sheridan revolution continues at Plymouth Argyle with the appointment of four new backroom staff.

Former Argyle striker Sean McCarthy is named as First Team Coach, John Harbin is the new Performance Manager (fitness coach), Darren Sheridan will be the new Chief Scout and Rhys Wilmot will coach the goalkeepers.

In addition Sheridan also has Gary Owers as his right-hand man.

McCarthy had two spells at Home Park as a player, scoring 48 goals from 176 appearances and was recently assistant manager at Ipswich Town.

Harbin, 65, has moved from Australia to join Argyle and arrives with an excellent reputation of keeping players ultra fit and installing belief in their abilities.

Sheridan's brother Darren is the new Chief Scout and has experience of playing in the Premier League with Barnsley.

Wilmot is a favourite of all Argyle fans after his time as an excellent keeper at Home Park in 1989 to 1992.

Welcome aboard the good ship Mayflower. It's looking good for the new season!
