Argyle Sign Lavery

Plymouth Argyle have signed Sheffield Wednesday striker Caolan Lavery on-loan.

The Canadian-born striker signed a loan deal until January 1st 2014.

The 21-year old has played international football for the Northern Ireland under-19 and under-21 sides.

Scunthorpe United were favourites to sign Lavery but any reported deal fell through after manager Brian Laws was sacked earlier this week and reports over the last few days have indicated that Lavery would now sign for Argyle.

Lavery started his career at Ipswich Town before moving to Wednesday in August 2012 and has made three substitute appearances in the Championship this season.
