The Race For The Title
The race for the League Two title will go down to the wire.
With just two games left this season Doncaster Rovers, Argyle and Portsmouth all have a chance of winning the League Two championship.
Doncaster currently sit top of the league on 85 points, two points clear of the Greens in second place and four points ahead of Portsmouth, however Doncaster have picked up just one point from their last three games and have hit a poor run of form at just the wrong time.
Donny have to face play-off chasing Exeter City at home next week and then travel to Hartlepool on the last day of the season with the Pools fighting to avoid relegation.
Argyle, who have been in the top two places in League Two since September, entertain mid-table Crewe Alexandra next Saturday and face a long trek to Grimsby for the last game.
Portsmouth have a difficult game at play-off hopefuls Mansfield next Saturday and finish the season with a home game against Cheltenham who should be safe from relegation by that game.
It's worth noting that Portsmouth have been inside the top two places on just two occasions this season.
Bookmakers Sky Bet have Doncaster as clear favourites to win the title with odds of 2/9, Argyle are ranked at 4/1 while Portsmouth are an outside bet for the title at 11/1.
There is no financial incentive to win the title, all clubs in League Two receive the same basic award of £472,000 regardless of finishing position, but there is a trophy to lift and hopefully it will be Argyle skipper Luke McCormick that will be lifting it on May 6th.
