The Final Trip

The Final Trip

Argyle's long haul to Grimsby Town on Saturday will see the Greens complete a total of 11,639 miles on the road this season.

A win at Blundell Park for manager Derek Adams and his team will clinch the League Two title and be a fitting finale where a record breaking 13 away wins (so far) laid the foundations for a fantastic and successful season.

The game at Grimsby is a round trip of 690 miles and is the third longest trip of the campaign behind Carlisle and Hartlepool and completes 11,639 miles for Argyle, an increase of nearly 800 miles from season 2015-2016.

Relegation from League One for Blackpool, Colchester United and Doncaster Rovers and the promotion of Grimsby from the National League at the end of last season added considerably to Argyle's time and distance on the road network.
However, that didn't concern the Green Army who still backed their team in great numbers throughout the UK.

Just one more trip and one more win to cap a memorable season burning rubber on the motorways.
