Argyle Sign Edwards

Argyle Sign Edwards

Argyle have signed Morecambe centre-back Ryan Edwards.

The 23-year old is the third signing of the summer for Argyle manager Derek Adams as he looks to rebuild his squad for a new season in League One.

Edwards, 23, was offered a new contract by Morecambe but after Argyle agreed a compensation package he agreed to move to Home Park.

The 6-foot 3-inch tall defender started his career at Blackburn Rovers although he didn't make a first team appearance, loan spells followed at Rochdale, Fleetwood, Chesterfield, Tranmere and Morecambe before signing permanently for the Shrimps in May 2014. He was named Player of the Year last season.
