Adams Linked With Aberdeen Job
Scottish newspaper the Daily Record has linked Derek Adams with the possible managerial vacancy at Aberdeen.
Current Dons boss Derek McInnes is on the verge of taking charge at former Premier League club Sunderland and the Daily Record lists five potential replacements at Aberdeen with Adams among those names.
Aberdeen finished second in the Scottish Premiership last season and reached two major domestic cup finals and will play European football next season.
Adams has a good knowledge of Scottish football and is a former player at Aberdeen and his achievements at Argyle have not gone unnoticed as noted by the Daily Record….
'Thanks to a strong record when it comes to signings made during his two seasons as Argyle manager, with far more successes than failures, Adams has endeared himself to the support.
'He won promotion to League One last season after an excellent campaign. He's highly regarded for the job he's done with the Pilgrims.
'And, should he get the chance to come back up north, Aberdeen's stature, alongside the lure of European competition, would be bound to prove an attractive.'
The other names mentioned for the Aberdeen job are Alex McLeish, Tommy Wright, Alex Neil and Paul Hartley.
A poll on the Daily Record website has Neil as the favourite to take over while Adams currently has 8% of the votes.
Hopefully it's all just newspaper talk.
