Carey Stays At Argyle

Carey Stays At Argyle

Argyle talisman and playmaker Graham Carey is staying at the club.

The 28-year old midfielder signed a new contract today and puts an end to the immense speculation surrounding his future.

Championship side Sheffield United were heavily linked to signing Carey with former Blades players even tweeting that they would like to have Carey at Bramall Lane, however the saga is now over and Carey extends his two year stay at Home Park.

Carey staying at Argyle is the biggest signing since the Greens were in the Championship.

With Carey in the team and Derek Adams as manager Argyle have reached a play-off final at Wembley and then secured automatic promotion from League Two the following season, only missing out on the title on goal difference.

Let's hope for similar success in the season ahead.

Welcome back on board the good ship Mayflower, Graham!
