Argyle Transfer Rumour Round Up

Argyle Transfer Rumour Round Up

A round-up of all the transfer rumours surrounding Plymouth Argyle.

Argyle manager Derek Adams has so far signed eight new players and indicated that he would be signing two more; these are more likely to be permanent signings with two or three loan players making their way to Home Park close to the start of the season.

So what players have been linked to signing for Argyle?

Cardiff City striker Rickie Lambert has been the main topic of media conversation over the last few days with a proposed loan move to Argyle about to happen. Even if Cardiff pay a large percentage of his wages the financial deal might still be an issue for the Greens, although Lambert does bring a lot of experience and knowledge of lower league football.
Chances of happening - 5/10 with Blackburn Rovers the favourite to sign him.

Ipswich Town website TWTD has reported that striker Kieffer Moore is a target for Argyle.
The 6-foot 5-inch tall frontman only moved to Ipswich from Forest Green Rovers in January and made 11 substitute appearances and doesn't look to be in the first team plans of manager Mick McCarthy so a loan move to Argyle would be beneficial.

Chances of happening - 8/10.

Transfer news website HITC published an article linking Sheffield United left-back Chris Hussey with a move to Argyle.
The 28-year old has been placed on the transfer list at Bramall Lane after making 11 appearances last season.
Argyle are already well blessed in the left-back department with Gary Sawyer and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair specialising in that position plus Oscar Threlkeld as back-up so this transfer is unlikely to happen.

Chances of happening - 3/10

HITC, again, had a story earlier in the summer of a proposed move to Argyle for Fulham striker George Williams.
The 21-year old spent time on-loan at MK Dons last season, Scunthorpe United recently had an offer for Williams turned down by Fulham so a move to Argyle is unlikely.

Chances of happening - 2/10.

Swansea City striker Botti Biabi is an apparent target for Derek Adams. The 21-year old started his career with Falkirk in Scotland before moving to Swansea in 2015 and has been a regular for the under-23 team and now looks to progress his career with a loan move to a League One or Two side.
Biabbi's pace and strength would compliment Argyle's taller strikers should Adams decide to play with two frontmen.

Chances of happening - 6/10.
