Argyle Complete Pre-season Games

Argyle played a total of 10 first team friendly games during pre-season.

The pre-season games were completed today in Holland with a 3-0 defeat against an FC Twente XI.

The schedule began with a gentle build up against local sides Plymouth Parkway and Saltash United before becoming more difficult as the standard increased and finished with games against Cardiff City and Dutch sides Feyenoord and FC Twente.

The Greens won seven games, drew one and lost two, scoring 25 goals and conceding seven, keeping five clean sheets. Nine games were played away with just one game at Home Park.

New signing Ruben Lameiras was top scorer with four goals, followed by Graham Carey, Joel Grant and Nathan Blissett with three a-piece.

Tiverton Town 1 - 2 Argyle (Sarcevic, Blissett).
Buckland Athletic 1 - 5 Argyle (Blissett 2, Lameiras 2, Grant).
Weston Super Mare 0 - 4 Argyle (Jervis 2, Lameiras, Miller).
Torquay United 0 - 2 Argyle (Carey, Grant).
Devon FA XI 0 - 7 Argyle (Ryan 2, Ainsworth 2, Fletcher 2, Battle).
Argyle 0 - 1 Cardiff City
Feyenoord 0 - 0 Argyle
FC Twente XI 3 - 0 Argyle
