Argyle secured another 3 points with this come from behind 2-1 win against Crewe Alexandra. Promotion is won on games like this, orchestrated by the superb Graham Carey.

Goals from Craig Tanner and Carey cancelled out the Crewe lead from Kiwomya. The win gave Argyle a club record of seven consecutive wins and moved the Greens sevens points clear of second place Carlisle in League two and an incredible 11 points in front of fourth place Portsmouth.

It was Carey who provided the second half spark for Argyle after manager Derek Adams pulled off a second half tactical master stroke by moving him to the left-side.

The first half was a battle for the Greens, we were one nil down, struggling and had just conceded a penalty.
Keeper Luke McCormick doesn't save penalties so it was looking like 2-0 but a modern miracle happened - McCormick saved the penalty (although it was a poor pen), we rallied and equalised through Tanner and won the game 2-1 thanks to a brilliantly worked goal finished by Carey.

This team just doesn't know when it is beaten.

Nauris Bultivis was missing because of a calf injury so Yann Songo'o played in defence and did well enough and didn't let the team down. Ryan Donaldson played the Songo'o role in midfield and really struggled in the first half, it looked like Adams had chosen the wrong player to play as a midfield enforcer but Donaldson had a better second half.
Adams played his usual formation of 4-2-3-1 but this time it was Carey in the centre and Tanner on the wing.

We started well and Donaldson should have won a penalty but the ref thought the Crewe keeper got the ball.

Crewe were robust and closed us down and took the lead from what looked like an offside goal when Kiwomya skipped past Gary Miller and shot into the far corner.

David Fox then conceded a penalty and we looked to be in big trouble but McCormick saving the penalty ws a turning point in the game and we stepped up a gear with Jordan Slew causing all sorts of problems. The come back started with Tanner firing into the top corner after another assist from Carey.

For the second half Slew went to the right, Carey to the left and Tanner in the centre. From that moment Carey absolutely destroyed Crewe, he's a class above this league.

Jake Jervis surprisingly replaced Slew but had a hand in the winning goal.
Striker Jimmy Spencer made a superb pass to Jervis on the right, his low cross found Carey who slotted home.
A cracking goal to win a cracking game.
End to end and to win the game against a good Crewe team after being 1-0 down is phenomenal.

Carey is a left-footed magician with a fantastic work rate.
The defence and Luke held firm under some late Crewe pressure.
Slew was man of the match for the first 45 minutes.
Songo'o got better and better alongside Sonny Bradley who had yet another strong game.

You really need to see the tv highlights for the winning goal, a sublime defence splitting pass from Spencer, a great cross from Jervis and there was the Green Messi to finish it off, a thing of beauty.

Great support from the Green Army.

Man of the Match: Carey

McCormick 8, Miller 6, Songo'o 7, Bradley 7, Purrington 7, Donaldson 6, Fox 7, Carey 9, Slew 8, Tanner 7, Spencer 7. Subs Jervis 7, Smith 6, Goodwillie n/a.
