Argyle's bad run continues whilst helping to end the bad home run of Morecambe's.

Morecambe had lost their last seven home games and failed to score a single goal in the last four of those helped themselves to a 2-1 win against the Greens who had striker Jordan Slew harshly sent off in the 47th minute. It was Argyle's third successive defeat after 14 games unbeaten and slipped to second place in League Two.

It was a poor performance on a poor pitch with a poor set of officials.

The decisions went against us in all of the key moments in the game.
Slew received two soft yellow cards, the second was deemed for diving to win a penalty but the ref and linesman were too far away to give a decision either way.
The second Morecambe goal came from a foul on Bradley that was deemed as a corner, the linesman in front of the away fans was terrible through out the game. However it was poor defending from the corner and Murphy easily headed in and then came over to the Argyle fans to mock us.

That said, we shouldn't blame the officials entirely because we were not good ourselves and look a team short of confidence and ideas.
We allowed a team who haven't scored at home for 4 league games and who have lost their last 7 home league games to beat us.

It was a poor first 40 minutes until we finally put some pressure on Morecambe close to half time. It was a fantastic cross from Jervis to Threlkeld at the far post who headed in.

Up until then we were poor, the game was scrappy not helped by yet another poor set of officials.
Morecambe had a series of corners, from one of these McCormick made a great save, from another the ref awarded a soft penalty, apparently Miller fouled in the area.
It was Morecambe's first goal at home in the league in 5 matches.

Morecambe also somehow hit the cross bar from 3 yards out, the ball bounced down on the goal line and out, we should have been 2 or 3 goals down.

Our defence was all at sea, the 4-1-4-1 formation just wasn't working, Donaldson was poor but on the plus side Slew and Jervis were lively and we got back into the game just before half time.

Disaster struck just after half time went Slew was given a second yellow for diving. It was harsh on Slew when it appeared the ref should have given a penalty.
Adams went with one up front in Jervis and four in midfield.

Morecambe then got the winner from the debatable corner and soon after Ellison hit the post.

Adams brought on Garita and played 3 at the back and pushed Miller and Threlkeld into midfield.
Bultivis picked up an injury so off he went and was replaced by Osborne.

We did score two goals but they were disallowed, one for offside and the other for who knows with this ref.

So frustrating and disappointing with the result and the performance especially in the first half when we had a full team.
Carey is a shadow of his former self and I think he is carrying an injury.

Seven days ago we were seven points clear at the top, since then we have lost 3 games, conceded 7 goals and dropped to second place. We don’t like poor wet muddy pitches in winter.

Man of the Match Threlkeld.

McCormick 6, Miller 5, Bulvitis 5, Bradley 5, Threlkeld 7, Songo'o 5, Donaldson 4, Smith 6, Carey 4, Jervis 6, Slew 6. Subs Garita 5, Osborne 6, Tanner n/a.
