A fantastic team performance and a well deserved win! Sheridan employed a 4-1-4-1 formation that worked a treat. Reid played his best game for Argyle, full of running and had good support from Banton and PCH. New signing Lee Cox worked hard and was neat and tidy, Branston, Charles and Wotton were immense, the win was built on the rock these three provided. We survived four penalty appeals and usually the ref eventually gives one out of sympathy but not today. Sheridan is a hard taskmaster, constantly shouting at the players and urging them on and it's exactly what they need. Every player gave 100%, their workrate could not be faulted. Banton's winner could be described as Goal of the Season, the move started in our own penalty area with Reid driving forward before finding Banton who beat two defenders to curl his shot into the far corner. We did ride our luck at times but with us being the away team that is expected. We made Aldershot look a poor team on their own patch. Sheridan now has 8 points from 12, not bad at all! Well played! Man of the Match: Charles.
